Workplace First Aid Recertification
This certificated course is designed to revalidate the Workplace First Aid Certificate. This course ensures participants update and refresh their first aid knowledge and practical skills in all major areas.
Specific topics covered include:
- Scene assessment & management
- Safety & Barriers
- Rescue Breathing
- Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation
- Wounds, bleeding and shock
- Choking manoeuvres
- Head, neck and spinal injuries
- Updates on burns, poisoning, allergies, fractures etc
NZQA Credits
The Unit Standards associated with this course are:
- 6400 - Manage first aid in emergency situations (level 3, 2 credits)
- 6401 - Provide first aid (level 2, 1 credit)
- 6402 - Provide resuscitation level 2 (level 1, 1 credit)
Who should attend
All holders of a Workplace First Aid Certificate, prior to the 2-year certificate expiry date.
