Workplace Health and Safety (Unit 497)

This course introduces the learners to the workplace health and safety legislation and enables them to play an active role in ensuring health and safety of themselves and others in the workplace.

Specific topics covered include:

  • Introduction to the Health & Safety in Employment Act 1992
  • Duties of the employer
  • Hazard identification and management
  • Employee rights and responsibilities
  • Emergency procedures
  • Accident investigation and reporting
