This course will guide you through your health and safety responsibilities, including an overview on what equates to taking all practicable steps to ensure the safety of workers, providing the correct personal protective clothing and equipment and managing risks, as well as providing supervision and appropriate health and safety training.

Gain a comprehensive understanding of the principal systems including, but not limited to, emergency procedures, worker participation and engagement and hazard reporting.

Training gives your team the confidence that they are can handle health and safety in the workplace.

Course Content

On successful completion, students will be able to:

  • Identify and escribe legal rights and responsibilities for workplace health and safety
  • Describe the systems approach to workplace health and safety
  • Explain how risks and hazards are defined in the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015
  • Identify the principles of workplace safety in a given workplace

A Basic Workplace Health and Safety certificate will be issued on successful completion of this course.
