Life Support for Oral Health Professionals

This Life Support for Oral Health Practitioners course satisfies the requirements of the Practice Standard for oral health practitioners, and therefore meets the standards to enable appropriate and effective management of a medical emergency in dental practice. This course also contains all of the modules required for CORE Immediate or equivalent course set out in the Practice Standard. 

Depending on their profession, the Practice Standard sets out different resuscitation training levels for different oral health practitioners .  Practitioners must successfully complete the minimum level of resuscitation training every two years. 


Who should attend?

All staff in the dental practice should have appropriate training, including dental surgery assistants, reception and other staff who may have optional assessment of practical and theoretical skills.
