Anyone can learn and become confident using an AED.

The use of an AED also known as defibrillation - is an important addition to CPR. Evidence shows that using an AED can greatly improve the survival chances of a patient in cardiac arrest. Of course, an AED is only useful if someone is willing to use it. Many people aren't confident they could use one. We can change that.

Our AED course will ensure you and your staff have the confidence to use defibrillators to save lives. Modern AEDs are easy to use, instructing you every step of the way. Check out our on-site training for more information.

What is an AED (Automated External Defibrillator)?

An AED is a lightweight, portable device that that analyses the heart s rhythm and if necessary, delivers an electric shock, known as defibrillation, to help restore the heart s natural rhythm. Modern AEDs are designed to be used by someone with little or no training. Through visual and voice prompts, AEDs guide users through an emergency by diagnosing the victim s heart rhythm and delivering a life-saving shock if medically warranted.
