CPR/Basic Life Support

A half day course ideal for first aiders in workplaces and anyone wanting to learn basic life support such as resuscitation and techniques to manage choking.
This is a practical course in which you will spend 75% of the time practicing the techniques for CPR, choking, shock and bleeding.
This first aid class concentrates on the lifesaving skills of CPR, which is rescue breathing together with chest (i.e. heart) compressions.
By practicing skills in scenarios, you will gain the confidence to provide first aid when an accident or emergency occurs.

Students are required to:
- be able to read and understand English – there are practical, written and verbal assessments in this course.
- be able to kneel on the floor to perform CPR.
- 14 years or older.
