First Aid Refresher Course

Students are required to:

• have completed a Comprehensive or Basic First Aid course within the last 2 years & 3 months - from any training provider

• be able to read and understand English – there are practical, written and verbal assessments in this course.

• be able to kneel on the floor to perform CPR.

• 14 years or older.

You must provide proof of your existing first aid certificate to attend a Refresher course. If you have any questions about these requirements, please contact us before your course.

The course covers essential first aid skills, including:

• First aid principles 
• Approaching and assessing an accident scene safely
• CPR training for adults, children and infants
  
• AED (Defibrillator) use and techniques
• Choking emergencies - for both conscious and unconscious adults, children and infants  
• Bleeding control for internal and external injuries
• How to manage shock and use the recovery position

This refresher course does not have any NZQA unit standards associated with it.

Public First Aid Classes:

Choose a convenient day and enrol in our public first aid classes, available on both weekdays and weekends.
Classes run from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm.

Onsite Group Bookings:
