CPR / Basic Life Support
A great introduction to basic first aid. Focuses on high-quality CPR and using an AED.
CPR / Basic Life Support is a great introduction to first aid for anyone who wants the confidence to act in a cardiac emergency. It suits gym staff, security personnel, hospitality teams, caregivers and members of the public alike.
The course focuses on high-quality CPR for adults, children and infants, safe and effective use of an AED, and how to manage choking and an unresponsive person. You will practise extensively on manikins so the skills become second nature.
Everything is delivered in a single 4.5 hour classroom session built around coached, repeated practice rather than long lectures, so you leave with skills you can genuinely rely on.
Assessment is practical and completed during the session against NZQA unit standard 6402. On successful completion you receive a certificate that is valid for two years.
