Why Taranaki teams choose MediTrain

We're a family business that has been delivering first aid training for over 30 years. As an NZQA Category 1 education provider, we base everything we teach on New Zealand Resuscitation Council guidelines, and we design all our course materials right here in New Zealand.

Learning that sticks

Our courses mix video, props, hands-on practice and real scenarios, because in an emergency you don't want to remember a boring class. You want to remember what to do.

Flexible by design

Complete your theory online whenever it suits you, then attend a single day in class. No full days lost to slides and lectures, and no starting from scratch on course day.

Engaging instructors

Many of our instructors come from paramedic, nursing or healthcare backgrounds, and all of them are skilled at adapting to how each person in the room learns best.

What People in Taranaki Say About Training With Us

“Jenny Coombe is so funny, such a good tutor. I have done so many first aid courses with many different companies, and they can be awfully boring. Jenny really engages students, she tells us of lived experiences, she’s very participative and very comfortable to be around. Great course. I always learn something new every time I go.”

— Kerryanne

“First time doing first aid with MediTrain. It was fun, informative and I learned so much more from Jenny in one day than from previous providers. Jenny was amazing! Usually I don’t look forward to going for my first aid, but this was actually enjoyable. Thank you Jenny!”

— Adele

“Our instructor, the best I’ve had in years. Actually the best. She was vibrant, funny and interesting to listen to. It made the day very pleasant.”

— Nicole
